There are so many great events this weekend – and many of them are free.
Head to Market Square to celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday with a free community screening of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Friday at 8:30. This is a weather dependent event so please check the Market Square website for updates!.
Visit the Guelph Airpark for the Tiger Boy’s Open House from 8am-5pm on Saturday or Sunday.
The Tiger Boy’s are a group of enthusiasts that find, restore and operate vintage aircraft including many WWII trainers such as Tiger Moths and Fleet Finches. These aircraft trained pilots during WWII as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP). There will be a fundraiser pancake breakfast in a hangar in view of the grass runway from which the WWII trainers will be operating and the Tiger Boy’s restoration shop and numerous hangars will be open for the public to tour. This is a fabulous event. Telling Tales is a free festival where families can discover stories together. It’s set in a beautiful historic Westfield Heritage Village, and offers free full of readings, entertainment and fun.
