If you are looking to celebrate the last weekend of the summer in and around town, why not start with a free concert downtown. This Friday’s concert features the band Sorry Cousins, starting at noon in St George’s Square.
On Saturday if you are heading to Rockwood, you can meet new friends at the Creepy Creatures program at Rockwood Conservation Area, at2 p.m. Cuddle a rat, hold a snake, and wear a cockroach broach! Fun for the whole family! Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the trailer by the mini-putt. This program is free with park admission. On Monday, head to Riverside Park for the Labour Day picnic. From 11 am to 3 pm you will find kid’s activities, a BBQ and entertainment. Find out more here.
