Friday Fun – Free things to do with your family

There are some any things to do this weekend. Our full list is of weekend events is here. If you are looking for some budget friendly activities this weekend, here’s a list of some local free events.

At the library tonight at 5:30 pm at the Main branch Teens can take part in a Poetry Workshop, followed at 6:30 by the Teen Poetry Slam. On Saturday at 1:30 pm at the Main branch kids and their friends can create at Lego Mania. On Saturday at 2:00 pm the Westminster branch hosts Bead It for ages 8-14.

Ecofest Waterloo Region Museum
Empower yourself at home, work and play! Ecofest is a fun and interactive event celebrating the environment. This family friendly event is created in collaboration with many local partners.
Complimentary Bus Shuttle from Fairview Park Mall to Waterloo Region Museum!
Bring your refillable and reusable water bottle to Ecofest and fill it up with water courtesy of your municipal tap water provider.

Family Sunday at the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery
Drop-in from 1 – 4 pm for children ages 4 – 12 + adult companion
Spend the afternoon with friends and family exploring the world of art and creativity. Enjoy the exhibitions, make one-of-a-kind artwork, take part in drama workshops, and listen to stories read by Kitchener Public Library staff. You can find out more details at the KWAG website.
