Bringing Space Down to Earth is a one-day, Open House at the University of Guelph, organized to showcase the multidisciplinary, space-related research that is happening across campus. The day will begin with exciting talks from special guests including Bob McDonald, host of CBC Radio’s Quirks and Quarks, and Michael Good, NASA Astronaut. In addition, Researchers from the University of Guelph will provide an overview of their cutting-edge, space-related research. Throughout the day you will have exciting opportunities to visit the University’s observatory, participate in lab tours and active demos, talk to Guelph alumni (who are astronaut hopefuls) and have the chance to revel in all things SPACE! The event is free for the general public, and we encourage everyone to attend, from researchers, educators and students to space-enthusiasts and aspiring young astronauts. Please visit our registration page to let us know of your intent to participate. Sign-up sheets will be available on Space Day for various on campus tours and activities.
