All week long various branches will be holding auditions for the May 26 competition. Teens need to come prepared to sing a 60 second song a cappella. Today the first round of auditions is being held from 3:30 – 5:00 pm at the Bullfrog Branch for teens in grades 9 & up.

At the Main Branch of the Guelph Public Library at 10:30 am join in Mother Goose for birth to 5 years and from 3:30 – 5:00 pm the Westminster Branch hosts Teen Guelph Teen Idol Auditions for teens in grades 9 to 12

Tiny Tot Thursday – Thursday, May 3, 9:30 – 11:30 am. A fun drop-in program for children ages 1 to 4 and their caregivers at the Guelph Civic Museum. Monthly themes, organized songs, crafts, games. Admission $2.00 per person. Please note there will be no Tiny Tot activities in June.

Saturday May 5
On Saturday morning, head over to the Galaxy Cinema at 11 am for Cineplex Family Favourites.
Watch a family favourite film each week for only $2.50. A portion of proceeds go towards supporting Starlight Children’s Foundation. This week’s feature: Short Circuit. When a laser-armed Department of Defense robot named Number 5 gets zapped by a lightning bolt, he “malfunctions” and starts spouting peace slogans and developing a human-like consciousness. Join in a Children’s Parade as part of Jane’s Walks, guided by Kimm Khagram and friends.
On Saturday at 11 am, meet at City Hall for the Children’s Parade. Everyone is Welcome! Come ready to make some noise and dance through the streets. Join Kimm as he leads you on a lively parade around downtown. He invites children and guardians to dress in fun outfits and bring favourite instruments whether it be a pot lid or a saxophone. If you are looking for a sweet deal the Grade 2 Class a the Trillium Waldorf School is hosting a Garage and Bake Fundraising Sale from 8 am – 1 pm at the school. The rain date is May 6th. Contributions from 16 + families. All proceeds go to the Trillium Waldorf Grade 2 Class.

Aberfoyle Junction Model Railway Spring Show
May 5th and 6th, and May 12th and 13th 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
Come visit our 1500 square foot model railway depicting Southern Ontario in the late 1950′s. Hand built models of both our major railways, Canadian National and Canadian Pacific, run on their separate rights of way. Watch freight trains being made up in terminal yards, and then switched along their routes.
Admission: Adults: $8.00, Seniors and Students: $6.00 and Children: $5.00
